With Lucie Reed

Lucie Reed is a wedding florist. But that description doesn’t quite cover it.

She drives two and a half hours to buy from the British growers she trusts. She conditions her flowers like small children. She goes at thirty miles an hour around country lanes because she doesn’t want anything shifting in the back of the van.

And when she’s building something... a bouquet, an installation, an arch of branches... she doesn’t always know exactly what it’s going to look like until she’s in it. Until the flowers are in her hands and she can see what they’re telling her.

That instinct is what this conversation is really about.
